Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Rivalz game at rivalz.io and the Rivalz mobile app. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them.

The service

Rivalz is a free, turn-based territory conquest game you play with people you invite. The service is currently in beta: features may change, be added, or be removed, and occasional downtime or data resets may occur while the game evolves.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep access to your account secure.
  • Sign-in uses passkeys tied to your devices; you are responsible for the devices that hold them and can manage passkeys and sessions from your account settings.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Fair play and acceptable use

  • No harassment or abuse. Chat and game invitations must not be used to harass, threaten, or spam other people.
  • No cheating. Don’t exploit bugs, automate play, tamper with requests, or otherwise interfere with the fairness of games or the operation of the service. If you find a vulnerability, please report it to us instead of using it.
  • No unlawful use, and no attempting to access other players’ accounts or data.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, and may remove content that violates them.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you write (like chat messages and feedback). You grant us the license needed to store and display it as part of operating the game — for example, showing your messages and moves to the other participants of your games.

Intellectual property

The Rivalz software, design, and content are proprietary and all rights are reserved. Rivalz is an independent project inspired by classic territory conquest board games and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro or any other board game manufacturer.

Disclaimers and liability

Rivalz is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Ending or changing the service

You can stop using Rivalz and request account deletion at any time. We may modify or discontinue the service, and may update these terms as the game evolves — material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Questions: hello@rivalz.io.
